THE FICTION ARTIST PROJECT

The Fiction Artist Project was born in 2005 in the context of the Fonlad Festival. The first images were developed between 2003 and 2005. In a first phase the images were constructed in the context of a set of images called Erotic Series, which were realized during several years (concretely between 1988 and 2007). Of this first group of images (10 concretely), only 3 would end up being part of the first edition of the Fonlad Festival. And it was in this context that the first fictional artists emerged.
With the development of the Unknown Artist Project and the respective Virtual Museum, the project can see light through the "Fake Festival" in 2010. In 2011, 8 more images will be published between 2007 and 2011.
Fiction Project is a fictional project in which all images - produced by artist José Vieira - were attributed to fictional characters. Some of the characters even had a biography and email, in the sense of giving credibility to it.
However, this idea was abandoned in 2010 when the project was first published. Only names and nationalities were retained.
